The July–September 2024 quarter will see an increase in SP Singapore's power tariff.

For the next three months, you might have to pay more for your utility bills if SP Group provides your electricity.

Households will be required to pay an increased power cost of 29.88 cents per kWh before goods and services tax (GST) from July 1 to September 30, 2024, according to a media release issued by SP Group on June 28.

This implies that in the next quarter, families residing in four-room HDB apartments will see an increase in their average monthly power cost of S$0.35, going from S$118.03 to S$118.38 before GST.

Tariff increase "caused by increased energy costs"

According to SP Group, "higher energy costs" will cause an average 0.09 cents per kWh before GST increase in the electricity bill from July to September 2024 when compared to the second quarter of 2024.

Before GST, the cost of a household's power from April to June 2024 was 29.79 cents per kWh.

Even so, at 29.89 cents per kWh before GST, household power prices for July through September 2024 were still somewhat less than those for January through March 2024.
